Green Moves at Wellcamp: Driving Sustainability Forward
Spiecapag Australia is proud to be taking meaningful steps toward a more sustainable future, aligning with VINCI’s global environmental goals and reducing our operational carbon footprint. At our Wellcamp Workshop in Toowoomba, two recent additions are helping us do just that:
- A new hybrid BYD Shark ute, delivered last week
- A fully electric 5-tonne forklift, introduced in March
Both vehicles are now powered by our on-site solar array, making them not only energy-efficient but also cost-effective in the long run. These upgrades follow the earlier installation of solar panels at the yard, reinforcing our commitment to clean energy and smarter operations.
Why It Matters
- Reduces CO₂ emissions
- Leverages our own solar energy
- Lowers long-term running costs
- Supports our annual environment targets and contributes to VINCI’s 2030 sustainability ambitions
- Extra benefits: eliminates diesel particulates – and the associated health hazard, from our warehouse and yard!
While the technology continues to evolve, we’re confident these investments will deliver long-term value, for our people, our planet, and our projects. We are committed to building better together by embracing innovation and sustainability across all our operations.
